🦁 Maa Skandamata – The Divine Mother of the Warrior God
“Skanda” is another name for Kartikeya, the God of War.
“Mata” means mother.
Thus, Skandamata is the mother of Skanda, also known as Kartikeya or Murugan.

Maa Skandamata is depicted with four arms.

She is often shown seated on a lotus, earning her the title Padmasana Devi.
