SHAIL PUTRI -शैल पुत्री

“Shail” means mountain, and “Putri” means daughter. Maa Shailputri is the daughter of King Himavat, the lord of the Himalayas.

She holds a trishul (trident) in her right hand and a lotus in her left hand. Her presence is serene yet powerful, adorned in divine garments and seated on a bull, symbolizing strength and balance.

Grey or pastel pink/white — symbolizing calmness, grounding, and devotion.

• Embodies purity, simplicity, and determination.

• Represents the root chakra (Muladhara), the foundation of energy and spiritual awakening.

• Blesses her devotees with strength, courage, and composure.

• Known as Parvati in her previous birth, she took birth as Shailputri after self-immolating as Sati in the yagna fire of her father, Daksha.
